Introducing...

...Positively (Im)Perfect!

Glad you could stop by for the Grand Opening! Or premier, or launching, or whatever it is we're supposed to call these things. Point is, the fun has begun...officially!

For those of you who are new around these parts, this is the new and improved professional counterpart to Home Sweet Hjelmstad! (you can mosey on over to Home Sweet Hjelmstad for the official announcement and reasoning behind this awesome new blog. And don't worry; Home Sweet Hjelmstad will still be in business, where pictures and videos and updates on everything Hjelmstad abound!).

Starting us out on the right foot...

Here at Positively (Im)Perfect, it's okay to be real. In fact, it's highly encouraged! The world needs us to be real as we live these imperfect lives of ours, while also keeping our positive outlook in check. Get it? Being positive? While still being imperfect? Ahem, right, moving along now. I'll be sharing the good stuff that life throws at us...you know, all those humbling lessons that remind us we're not exactly, um, perfect. Like when I try to figure out the mom thing (mostly the hard way) or having to come to terms with the fact that my life isn't following that perfect road map I keep trying to wave in God's face. Along with all of those little lessons in imperfection, the mission is to also find--and share--the positive stuff. And the funny stuff. Because we all know that when imperfection reigns, it's impossible to make it through the day without laughing at ourselves at least once! One more thing: this whole deal is a two-way street. My philosophy is that if we're in it together, we might as well all get through it together. So I always welcome your perspective, and can't wait for all that real-life entertainment that you certainly must share.
