Blessed Is She Advent Journal Giveaway!
Congratulations to
our winner, Julie!
{If you'd still like to order a journal in time for Advent, you can do so at
Mine arrived last night and it is beautiful-I wish Advent were here already!}
It's a journal developed specifically for the Advent season, for reflecting on the readings and role of each week during this season of preparation, and in turn helping prepare our hearts in the best way possible for Christmas. I've already ordered mine, and I'll be giving one away to one of you!
I'm so excited about this Advent Journal.
Foremost, it's been such a blessing for me to be part of this ministry. It's amazing not only to share with others and see how it's impacting them, but also to personally experience how deeply my own faith has been impacted--both through the response of the readers and the Blessed is She team of women who are sharing daily devotions and [such perfectly-timed!] inspiration. This journal was born from all of that!
I'm also excited and eternally grateful that the women on the Blessed Is She team had the vision and foresight to create something so relevant to so many other women like them--like me--who want to make so much more out of this Advent season than seasons past. They saw a need, they felt that need, and they were inspired to find an answer that worked.
And from the moment I laid eyes on the draft, I knew that this journal was definitely an answer to prayer in a strange sort of way. I feel like I've totally needed help in the Advent department now for a good few years in the running.
You know how sometimes you get all excited about a new experience or gadget or girly thing that you've been pining after for like ever...but then when it actually arrives, it's sort of anticlimactic? Maybe it isn't all you built it up to be in your head, or it loses its charm of newness after a few days or weeks?
I feel like that's happened the past few Christmases. And I'm beginning to resent it. As much as I say I'm going to focus on the most important thing (person) behind the holiday, or as often as I promise myself that I'm going to keep it simple this year, somewhere around Thanksgiving I always find myself wandering over to just "glance" at the Black Friday
Though the frills and the excitement of gifts aren't bad in and of themselves, putting the frills before the substance continues to leave me wanting, just like those shopping sprees or that long-awaited designer something-or-other that's ultimately underwhelming and unfulfilling and has me searching soon thereafter for the next newest nicety.
I'm so excited that the Blessed Is She Journal is a tool to help me do just that.
And if that's what you want too, then I want to give it to you!!!
It would truly be my honor.

Some Housekeeping Notes:
- How do you enter this giveaway deal? It's simple, you just sign in below with your email or Facebook account, and do whatever the magical Rafflecopter tells you to do! Nothing crazy, just comments and such so I can keep track of everyone, because I'm not all into forcing people to share or tag a whole bunch of stuff. (But if you're all about the sharing, then by all means, go for it and get some extra entries!).
- The magical Rafflecopter will randomly choose the winner when the giveaway closes (so I don't have to painstakingly cut up paper slips and draw names out of a hat). I'll contact the winner personally to get a mailing address and such, and also add an update to the top of this post announcing the winner.
- If you don't want to do the whole giveaway deal but still want one of these beautiful journals, or if you do enter the giveaway but the Magical Rafflcopter in the sky chooses someone else, the good news is you can still buy your own on the Blessed Is She website!* Just click here.
*Journals are currently available for pre-order, which means they will be shipped from Blessed Is She (or from me if you win it!) so you'll have them in time for the beginning of Advent on November 29th!
Just a reminder, Blessed Is She isn't selling these for a profit, and all the writers are volunteer. All proceeds go toward covering the cost of the journals and basic operating costs of running the website and email lists. Anything above and beyond will be donated.
And now for the part you've all been waiting for: the giveaway! May the odds be ever in your favor...

Hoping to live liturgically this Advent now that we have a baby to pass on the faith to. I know the journal will keep me grounded in anticipation of Jesus because I have a tendency to get over-caffeinated on seasonal Starbucks beverages and a little carried away with the to-dos and material aspects of the holiday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time with journaling... but it something I'm working on more in my prayer life! This journal seems perfect - and Advent is my favorite season. :)
ReplyDeleteI really want to do something special this Advent. This would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteReally want to make Advent special for my family this year! I think this would really help :) Thanks for all you do with Blessed is She!
ReplyDeleteThis Advent, I really would like to work on fasting. :) Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail on the head so perfectly with this line: "This year, all I want for Christmas is this: to be fully filled with the substance that is the gift of our Savior, instead of trying to substitute frivolities that fall flat for His immeasurable gift."
ReplyDeleteMe too! I'm trying so hard this year to get all of our hectic holiday nonsense out of the way before Advent starts, so that I can really spend Advent preparing my heart and my family to welcome Christ.
Your Instagram post led me to your giveaway : ) I started to reading your blog and the Blessed Is She ministry blog and absolutely loved both of them. It pairs so well with the prayer request my sister and I are offering up currently about asking the Lord to direct us to Young Adult female Catholic groups! God works in such an intricate and awesome way! (: All of this was a blanket of encouragement for this prayer petition. As advent arises soon, the journey is intertwined even more beautifully as we embark in a new Liturgical Season. Many blessings! Ave Maria
ReplyDeleteMy advent goals: to focus on enjoying the Silence, and to make time for the absence of busy-ness.
ReplyDeleteMy advent goals include daily prayer and reflection on the readings. I want to really focus on what the season of Christmas is all about!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win the Blessed Is She Advent journal! Thanks for your Divinely inspired post today over at Blessed Is She -- I will comment more there :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this journal! My goal this Advent season is to slow down, focus on the season of preparation with a stress-free (or stress-less) heart, and to remember that it's not the "things" we do or buy that makes the season successful but our intentional time we spend with the family.
ReplyDeleteAs with every Advent, I want to prepare for the birth of Jesus with a prayerful and peaceful heart. Journaling may be very helpful!
